You want loving connection with your body.
But inside, much feels brittle.
You know that giving your body a voice will help heal what you hold...but it doesn't feel safe or rewarding to write that way on your own.
You want a writing community, but probably worry that should you be honest about what your body holds, you'll be judged as "too much."
That worry makes so much sense. After all, you’ve never been part of a group where you could feel safe and understood without having to sugarcoat your depth of feeling.
You long for loving connection with your body and self, but without the safety of knowing you can express as your honest, emotional, sensitive, deep-feeling self, that love stays out of reach.
I've felt that frustration too.
I always worried that I was too intense, too sensitive and too emotional for a writing circle to be able to hold me.
After years of inner work left me feeling creatively barren, I started wanting to write so I could heal my relationship with my body and the stories it held.
I wanted to enjoy the writing and feel creative, but didn't know how to do that while still being honest about what I held.
And I longed to feel seen.
I knew if I didn't give my body honest voice that I would keep feeling barren, because that's what trauma and repression do to us: they robs us of our creative softness. They leave us disconnected from our bodies and selves and brittle.
I live with complex trauma and an often overwrought, highly sensitized nervous system. It was my own longing for body, writing, healing and magic that led me to create Body Writers.
Body Writers is an intimate writing circle where you'll be guided to drop into your body and write what your body holds.
Each session begins with a somatic drop-in and read aloud of our Rules for Writing - easy to follow guidelines so you'll feel comfortable writing from your body.
We do a timed write to an evocative prompt taken from a song lyric, after which you'll have the opportunity to share your writing aloud.
You are never required to share your writing, although doing so is part of our process and powerful. It's medicinal (and addictive) and brings somatic, beautiful shifts inside you that you'll be able to feel.

Over our 10 weeks together, you will be able to to…
> Drop into your feeling body
> Find your body's voice through writing
> Express what you hold honestly
> Heal in deeper and richer layers, the more you write
> Release trapped charge, energy and stories that've been locked in your body, weighing you down
Hate those writing circles that promise aaall the depth and healing…Only to underdeliver on the paid side of the fence? Me too.
Body Writers is not that kind of short-change experience. Nor is it a circle where you have to worry about being regarded as "too much" should you reveal your sensitivity and depth of emotion. Body Writers is a guided writing and healing circle you move through with a beautiful group, and you should be prepared for lovely, significant shifts – in how you relate to your body, voice and story.
Body Writers is a writing circle unlike any other.
Prepare to be guided through somatic writing, somatic check ins and powerful expression of your voice while being celebrated for the deep-feeler you are.
While trauma-informed, Body Writers is intended only for sensitive womxn ready to drop into their bodies and write what they find. Reading your writing aloud is always about expression, not perfection, so you never have to worry about you or your writing being judged. I know that's not easy but we (the group and me as your guide) have really and truly got you.

I’m Ready, Let’s BeginWho will be leading you?
I’m glad you asked.
I'm Jennifer - Certified Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Coach, Somatic Writing Coach and highly sensitive INFJ empath.
I've been helping deeply sensitive womxn resolve somatic trauma and come home to their bodies by writing what their bodies hold since 2019.
I am a life-long writer, covert narcissistic abuse and cptsd survivor, and lived with chronic conditions for most of my life before learning to write my way into peace and presence with my body.
My work as a Somatic Coach centers self-exploratory writing that gives honest voice to what your body holds. I have a gift for helping sensitive womxn explore and express their deepest feelings. Inside Body Writers, I'll help you give your body a voice, so you can cultivate a loving relationship with it, the stories it holds and with yourself.
